Typical Session

A Safe, Confidential Space

I understand that reaching out for help is hard. Whether you are dealing with a specific problem, such as alcohol addiction or weight gain, or live with a more generalised issue like anxiety or depression, letting someone else in feels scary. However, that initial step is the hardest part of the road towards recovery. With me, you have a highly experienced, trustworthy specialist psychotherapist and hypnotherapist who takes care to listen to your issues and work with you to return to your best self – in a way that makes sense to you.

You are never alone. I am here to give you a friendly professional helping hand. Keep reading to learn more about what happens when you get in touch with me to discuss psychotherapy and hypnotherapy in Central London & online via Zoom.

Initial Consultation

Message me on WhatsApp or send me an email to set up an initial session at a time that works for you. Our first session together will involve an introduction to the science behind how the brain works, the importance of serotonin, as well as exploring your story, making sure you are relaxed enough to speak freely. I like to create a well-sequenced environment, as this creates a rhythm that makes it easier for you to open up.

Psychotherapy

The first two weeks will mainly involve psychotherapy, with us walking through your issues in a way that is comfortable for you, ahead of moving into a course of hypnotherapy once we have identified the goal you want to work towards. This is your time to speak about whatever is on your mind, in a way that feels right to you. I will listen closely to what you say and provide a bespoke kind of help, helping to facilitate important change in how you feel about yourself on a day-to-day basis.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a powerful therapeutic tool that I have used to help so many clients reach a better place. It gives you an enormous treasure chest of tools and strategies to help you untangle anxious feelings and see things from a calmer, clearer perspective. I always look to include some kind of meditation into sessions, and will often give you certain mindfulness-oriented tasks, from journaling to breathing to yoga. The techniques I use are based in cognitive psychology and can be practiced outside of our sessions as well. Some exercises can be done with your eyes open, while walking, or even with other people.
